Bill Thornton
Vice President: shall perform the duties of the President in the latter's absence; and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.
Personal Bio:Born in Springfield, OH…received a BS from The Ohio State University. Taught industrial arts for a few years before going to work in the metals industry and working in information systems…cannot remember not being a woodworker. Moved to Sun City in 2003 from NV. Wife – Sally, 2 sons in Houston and 2 grand sons.

President: shall preside over all Club meetings and be responsible for the administration of all Club business; shall act as the principal liaison between the Club and the Association; shall ensure the financial and administrative integrity of the Club; and shall appoint committees and assign areas of responsibility to members of the Executive Board as deemed necessary.
Personal Bio:Grew up in Lubbock as the carpenter son of a home builder…Texas Tech University graduate…worked for Sears in Dallas and Chicago…second career in the apparel manufacturing/importing business living in NJ, IN, and MI before returning to my roots Texas and Sun City in 2003. Wife – Sandy, two grand sons who live with their parents in Downers Grove, IL and Seattle.

Secretary: shall keep all records and minutes of the meetings of the Membership and Executive Board; shall conduct correspondence relating to the Club; shall issue notices of meetings; and shall furnish the Association with such reports as may be necessary. The Secretary will ensure that the Secretary's records are retained for three years and, upon leaving office, will pass the records to his/her successor.
Personal Bio:Born in Corpus Christi…graduated from University of Texas with MS in Chemistry…30 years with Dow Chemical in Lake Jackson and Midland, MI…retired and moved to Sun City in 2005. Michigan winters provided the initiative to start “basement” woodworking shop - baby cribs, night tables, blanket chests, and other furniture. Other hobbies are fishing and golf. Wife – Sandra…4 children and 7 granddaughters…all in Texas.

Personal Bio: Raised on a south Texas farm…received degrees from Texas A& M and LSU in plant sciences with principal training in plant physiology and biochemistry…professional career as a research scientist with the U.S.D.A. working progressively in Weslaco, TX; Rotterdam, the Netherlands; Beltsville, MD; and, Orlando, FL. Now a professional nature photographer and woodworker. Wife-Rhea…four children.

Personal Bio:Raised in St. Paul, MN--received a degree in Psychology from St. Thomas University--40 years piloting airplanes for USAF, civilian flight schools, and Frontier/Continental / American Airlines--retired in 2006. In Sun City since 2002--wife Kate--2 daughters--NM and TX and one granddaughter--main hobby is golf which I only play on days ending in the letter “y”.
Personal Bio:Born in Los Angeles…worked in the grocery industry for 22 years…retired and lived 3 years in Hawaii…back to California to start an auto detailing business with wife, Faye. 25 years later...2007…we sold the business and moved to SCTX. Joined the Woodworkers Club…really enjoy it. My other interests are Porsche cars (have owned six and showed them in full concourse shows), gun collecting, target shooting and the bow & arrow.
Personal Bio: Born in Warren, Oregon…grew up on the family farm in South Dakota...four years with the USN as an Aviation Electrician…N. Dak. State University graduate - BSEE in 1959. 30 years with Rockwell International designing communications systems for Air Force One and other military systems…10 years with Radiation Systems/Comsat Corp as Project Director for the worlds largest moveable Radio Telescope…2 years as a technical consultant to two law firms in DC. Moved to Sun City June 1999…wife – Joy…two children…five grandchildren…one great grandchild. I try to golf 2 times a week and pursue wood crafting.
Personal Bio: Born in San Diego, Ca. Joined USAF in 1956. Graduate of Cal State University Long Beach – BS in ME. Employed by Douglas Aircraft, Hughes Aircraft and Sonatech in Santa Barbara, Ca. Worked in design of Saturn Booster components, aircraft structures, and Sonar equipment. Wife – Helen Ann, married for 50+ years. 5 super children, 8 grandchildren & 1 GGC – Maddie. Moved to SC in 2006 from CA. Member of the Woodcarvers group.

Treasurer: shall receive all dues and other monies paid to the Club; shall disburse Club funds in timely payment of all bills owed by the Club; shall maintain appropriate books, ledgers and other accounting records reflecting the financial transactions of the Club and its current financial condition; shall furnish the Association with such reports as may be called for; shall report to the Executive Board on the financial condition of the Club at least quarterly; and shall report on the financial condition of the Club to the Membership at each Annual Meeting and at such other times as the President may direct. The Treasurer will ensure that financial records and accounting procedures meet requirements established by the Association and its Controller; and that financial records are retained for seven years and passed in good condition to his/her successor. The Treasurer will also be responsible for maintaining the official records of dues-paid members in good standing. The Executive Board may appoint a Membership Chairperson to assist the Treasurer in this capacity.
Personal Bio: Born in Cumberland, MD…graduated with BES in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University…42+ years working in construction, planning, engineering computing, forecasting, and system operations…retired from Allegheny Power in 2002…moved to SCTX from Greensburg, PA within the year following my retirement, and find we enjoy being here more every year. Wife, Ramona, grew up in Kingsville and Houston…younger son still lives in Greensburg; the other son and our two grandchildren live in the Conroe, TX area…life-long hobbies include music, astronomy, photography, and woodworking
